VEROONA

VEROONA was built in Sydney by The Manly & Port Jackson Steamship Company in 1942 to lay and maintain the anti-submarine boom that crossed the harbour

After the war the lighter was back in service as a coal barge.

The 1960’s saw VEROONA move to Pittwater where it began life as a mooring lighter for Nottings Boatshed at Careel Bay.
